Medical Imaging Transmission
Medical images, such as those generated by Teleradiology equipment, have large file sizes due to high resolution. Rapid transmission between hospitals and medical centers requires high availability, high bandwidth telecommunication services. For smaller offices or infrequent use, a T1 data line might easily suffice. For medium and larger facilities, DS3 or Ethernet fiber optic carriers are recommended.

What is Ethernet over Copper
Ethernet over Copper, or EoC, uses copper transmission lines rather that fiber optics. T1 lines are most often used to transport mid-band Ethernet signals in the 1 to 10 Mbps bandwidth range when provisioning fiber optic lines is too expensive.

What is PBT?
PBT stands for Provider Backbone Transport. It's an adaption of Ethernet to extend Layer-2 switching into the WAN transport network. PBT was pioneered by Nortel and will be standardized by the IEEE as PBB-TE.

What is PoE?
PoE means power over the Ethernet. It is a way to provide a DC power supply over network lines to energize security cameras, VoIP telephones, badge readers, wireless access points and other devices that might not have an AC outlet nearby.

What is Ethernet over Fiber?
Ethernet over Fiber or EoF means transporting Ethernet protocol signals over metro distance or long haul circuits, using IP protocol networks. Your interface is a standard Ethernet jack from the carrier supplied premesis equipment.

10 Gig E Enterprise Bandwidth Connectivity
Extremely high bandwidth Metropolitan and Wide Area Network connections up to 10 Gig E, 100 GigE, Gigabit Ethernet, and Fast Ethernet are now available from competitive carriers in metropolitan areas. Easily scaled fiber optic options from 10 Mbps up and cloud connections are also available, including Managed SDN Software Defined Networking and SD-WAN, as desired.
